The Perfect Flower, Capacitor

Type: Monthly Lab and live performance with Capacitor at the California Academy of Sciences
Date: May 2008 - May 2009
Collaborators: Capactor company directed by Jodi Lomask, California Academy of Sciences.
Description: Interdiciplinary laboratory brought together members of Capacitor's creative team, dancers, and network of artists, fabricators, architects, musicians, costume designers, and other visionaries to brainstorm themes in science, botany, conservation, and all the intersections in art throughout the development of the performance. A Perfect Flower debuted in the central Piazza at the California Academy of Sciences during NightLife. Capacitor adapted the performance after the Academy's "incubation" period and went on to perform it at various venues and events including TED. I hosted the monthly laboratories, arranging speakers from the Academy's research staff, and coordinated the logistics for the evening performance during NightLife.
